Soil Remediation
When it has been determined that a fuel tank and or connected piping has leaked into the ground soil it is recommended that the area be remediated. The remediation process varies pending on the extent of the release, the fuel tank content, remediation may include one or all of the following:
Excavation of contaminated soils – The contaminated soil is excavated and disposed of at a state regulated refinery.
Groundwater remediation – In the event the groundwater becomes impacted with the petroleum, the water / petroleum is pumped out using our 3300 gallon vacuum truck and disposed of at a state regulated refinery.
Monitoring Well – The installation of a monitoring well may be necessary in the event of impacted groundwater.
Ventilation System – The installation of a ventilation system may be necessary in the event of the contaminated soils are unreachable. The ventilation system enhances natural attenuation.
Potable Well Sampling – In the event a potable well is in the proximity of the contaminated soils, the potable well is tested to ensure the fuel oil has not leached into the drinking water supply.
Envirotech also offers the collection and disposal of various drummed materials. Drummed material may require sampling prior to removing from your site.
